A Silicon Valley fintech company PLAID (with a whopping valuation of $2.65bn) has entered the UK as it seeks to capitalise further.
Plaid is a service providing technology for other financial technology companies to link to customers? bank accounts. In the US, its technology is integrated with over 15,00 banks and partners with well known fintech businesses like Venmo and Coinbase.
Plaid announced it has already begun with two customers, including a money management app called Emma and has begun supporting 8 of the UK?s largest banks as it continues to expand its work force over the UK.
PLAID has been disrupting the retail banking market by encouraging new apps from challenger banks and fintech firms that help customers manage their finances more easily.
